  1. First, I was the engineer

Master’s in Math, then four years of full-stack work at Itransition and Exadel. I still read code and build my own prototypes, which makes arguing with engineers a lot more fun.

    4 yrs
    writing code
  2. Then I built a startup. It flopped

I co-founded MetricsCat, analytics for mobile apps, a few years before SensorTower made it a category. The idea was fine. My co-founder and I weren’t, and that’s what ended it. Lesson learned: choose a co-founder as carefully as the idea.

    1
    startup, 1 big lesson
  3. I learned product where users pay

Mobile games at Softeq, photo competitions at LensCulture, a kids’ app at Learning Tapestry. At LensCulture participants grew 10× and revenue 4×. The kids’ app, Sparkler, was later bought by Nickelodeon.

  4. I built PandaDoc’s Growth team from scratch

Seven years, 12 PMs, 10 teams. We set up experimentation, analytics and discovery, and launched Freemium and the API platform. ARR went from $10M to almost $100M in that time, about 40% of it self-serve.

    ~10×

  5. Now I build AI and agent products at Metabase

I lead Metabase AI, the MCP server and CLI for agents, AI observability (traces, LLM judges, evals), and the pricing behind all of it.

    20%
of all customers use Metabase AI
